Learning Book
At Borden Village Pre-School we use an online learning journal called Learning Book, where all we require from you is your email address so that you can have secure access to your child’s journal.
Your child’s Key Person will record observations and link them back to the curriculum so that you are able to see at a glance what your child has been getting up to during their day with us. We send out curriculum reviews three times a year. We also encourage our parents to upload ‘WOW’ moments that happen outside of pre-school so we can celebrate your child’s learning and achievements.
Curriculum
Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born. For a child to learn, learning must be fun. The care and education offered by us will help your child to continue to do this by providing them with an exciting and engaging environment. We plan activities that are right for their age and stage of development and most importantly linked to their interests. The curriculum, which we follow, is The Early Years Foundation Stage Guidelines (DFES 2021); this is a play-based curriculum for children from birth to age five.
